emily Wagner

Executive Director

Joining In-Sight in 2022, Emily is a passionate arts educator with a background in educational leadership, nonprofit management, and political advocacy.

Emily studied visual art and psychology at Marlboro College and later Nonprofit Management through Marlboro’s graduate program. Additionally, Emily is a licensed Vermont Educator in Visual Arts and holds a M.Ed. from Union Institute & University in Visual Art Curriculum and Instruction. Her background includes experiences in traditional and non-traditional classroom settings in public and private schools, as after school program director, and community organizer.

As an artist, Emily uses photography as a launching point for mixed media paintings, drawings, and collages of figures and landscapes. https://emilytatewagner.com/

Michael Zuhorski

He/They/Them

Program Director

Michael is the program director at In-Sight. He is an artist and educator who makes photographs about gradual change, sustained attention, and how emotions change the way we see. Michael joined In-Sight in April 2023. For the last handful of years, he taught photography at colleges in Upstate NY, worked as a trail guide on Lake Superior with kids of a wide range of ages, and traveled as an artist-in-residence. Michael holds an MFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University. He loves to play guitar, read, skip stones, and take very long walks.

 

Rachel Boettcher

Operations and Program Manager

Rachel has been a photographer for over twenty years in a variety of fields. Working on cruise ships, in the medical field, in forensics, as a contractor for the military, as well as her personal direction in portraiture, weddings, commercial photography and fine art, she loves exploration and new photographic challenges. She enjoys photographing events, portraits, and whatever else may present itself through her business, LifeSketch Photography. She has a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and has Project Management certification.

Rachel moved to Guilford, Vermont in 2021 with her fiance and her spoiled rotten rescue pitbull, Mara.

 
 
 

Rachel Racco

Program Assistant

Rachel is the program assistant & after school program coordinator.  She has been heavily involved with the In-Sight community since she started taking classes at the age of twelve. To say that In-Sight changed her life is an understatement. She worked as an Intern for the Summer of 2021 and 2022 before serving as the AmeriCorps member from 2022 to 2023. Rachel loves every type of art, her preferred mediums are both photography and painting, focusing on surrealism and abstract painting. She has worked with acclaimed photographer Rachel Portesi as a hair and body model and darkroom assistant. Her modeling work can be seen in many different exhibitions and magazines including Vogue US and Vogue UK. She is delighted to be a part of In-Sight and is determined to make the space as welcoming and nurturing as possible. 

 

Carmen Whitney

In-Sight Intern

Carmen is a student at Vermont Academy who has been studying photography since middle school. She loves film photography, with a focus on portraiture, and is excited for the opportunity to learn more about this medium an d experience the amazing facilities at In-Sight. Carmen has been a multi-sport athlete since childhood and plans to play soccer in college. Her other interests include pottery, writing, and travel. She is thrilled to join the welcoming artistic community at In-Sight.
